Warragul Regional College 'Dares to Wear'

Story

Hi there!!

The VCAL girls at Warragul Regional College (WRC) in conjunction with Fitted for Work bring you 'Dare to Wear' Day!

WRC is taking part in Dare to Wear Day on 27 March 2012. We are raising much needed funds for Fitted for Work, a not-for-profit organisation that exists to help women experiencing disadvantage to get work and keep it. Fitted for Work provides the means but it’s the women themselves that find the courage to put themselves forward for interviews after many setbacks.

Now we are being bold enough to dress up on Dare to Wear Day to raise funds to assist these women.

Not only will Dare to Wear Day involve Free Dress Day in return for a $1 coin donation BUT TEACHERS WILL BE DRESSING UP IN OUTRAGEOUS COURAGEOUS OUTFITS!!! - hilariously different to what they look like in the surrounding photos!! Who wants to see the following:

Mr Juratowitch in Socks, Crocs and Boardies?
Mr Longmuir as a Rapper?
Mr Braddick as a Rock God
Mr Dorian clothes swapping?
Jess in School Uniform?
Mr Ponton as a Gangster?
Miss O'Bryan in PJ's?
Mr Bott as a Superhero?
Mr Miller in a Feather Boa?
Mr and Mrs Ridsdale - triple denim?
Mr Spragg - Crazy Hat and Wig?
Mr Wilson - 70's?
and Ms Houiex as Lady GAGA?

Please sponsor our courageous teachers and help raise money for this worthy cause!! Photos will be provided as visual evidence of the whacky and zany dares for your entertainment.

The national fundraising target for this campaign is $120,000 to help 1000 women and all donations go directly to Fitted for Work.

Please raid your purses and DONATE NOW! No amount is too big or too small and we would really appreciate your support.

Thank you!

WRC

    Fitted for Work

Transform the lives of women experiencing disadvantage!
Fitted for Work is an innovative not-for-profit organisation and the first of its kind in Australia. Our vision is financial independence for women and our mission is to help women experiencing disadvantage get work and keep it. Since 2005 we have assisted over 12,000 courageous women step out of disadvantage and into work through our personal outfitting, transition to work and mentoring programs.  Our services are practical and effective. Today 75% of the women we help get work within 3 months. We have sites in Melbourne, Morwell and Sydney.  Women are referred to us by over 300 community partners.  The women we assist face a variety of obstacles – they may be exiting a domestic violence situation, experiencing homelessness, temporarily experiencing ill-health that prevents them from working, have a disability or have become recently widowed or divorced.  Many are single mothers who need to support themselves and their family.  Every day our dedicated team of 14 staff and over 250 volunteers help women gain the self-esteem and confidence to achieve their goal of sustainable employment.,
